Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner

Hi Everyone!~

For those who missed it, I did a post on the Ocean Salt Facial Scrub from Lush yesterday, HERE.

I initially wanted to write on this another day, but I thought since I always use this together and it works perfectly well, I shall write them back to back while my thoughts on these products are still fresh in my head, since I just use them in the bath.

I went into the Lush store at Wistma Atria, some time back, wanting to get the Ocean Salt scrub to try out and was introduced to this Body Conditioner by the Sales lady there. I was totally sold when the lady tried the products on my hand.

I have to admit, I did a impulse buy, for the body conditioner, and got a little regretful when I step out of the store. When I got home and try it, My sentiments changed!~(:

Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner

I know this have been raved quite a bit on the YouTube. But I never thought of getting one, because I don’t understand why would I need a body conditioner when body lotion works fine on me.

Product Description,
From http://www.lushsg.com/shop/product/product/path/154_163/id/1321/body-body-butters-ros-argan-body-conditioner

A beautiful, rose jam scented body conditioner that’s full of the most emollient, moisturising ingredients possible to feed and nourish the skin.  There’s cypress oil, capuacu butter, Brazil nut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and super softening almond oil, along with Argan oil of course, which is rich in vitamin E and incredibly moisturising and soothing on the skin.  There’s also a touch of spring water to cool the skin down.  The 20% glycerine locks in all this moisture, leaving your skin soft, smooth, supple and the fragrance leaves you delicately scented like a rose bush being kissed by the first rays of morning sun.

The consistency of this body conditioner, I would say, is thicker than our regular lotion.

Because of it’s consistency, it makes it easier to work with when your hands are wet. The product will not slip and slide, resulting in waste of product etc., which is a plus for me, or maybe many of us, since we can fully utilize the product given to us.

For demo purpose, I got a little product out of the container.

Just on a side note, remember I mention that the product will not slip and slide?
I actually took this shot a few times to get it to the right focus and lighting I want, and the product didn’t slide a bit!~

Apply it onto your skin,

And spread the product all over your skin.

I was told you can wash it off right after ( no waiting time needed).
But I like to keep it on for a little while, maybe 5mins or so(?) before washing it off.

My thoughts

I mentioned in the previous post, the Ocean Salt facial scrub can be use on the face and body.
I’ve tried it with this body conditioner too, yes it works fine. You can apply it on your face if you want to.

I personally don’t really like the after feeling it leaves on my face, so I don’t do that.

They have argan oil, cocoa butter, brazil nut oil, almond oil and shea butter in it that helps to nourish the skin.
After every use, I always find my skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturized.

Just like what most of the reviews I saw mentioned, I wouldn't recommend you to use it in the day, or before heading out.

It would leave an oil-like residue on your skin, which might make you feel uncomfortable throughout the day.

So it would an ideal choice would be to use it at night.

I like to pair it with a long pyjama bottoms, so the air-con wouldn’t take away the moisture from my legs.
PS. I would wear a long sleeve shirt too, but I always find myself feeling very warm in them.

I forgot to mention, this body conditioner is rose scented, there is some other scent in it too, but I can’t really identify it. If you’re not a fan of the rose scented product, you might not like this. Because the scent actually stay on your skin for a pretty good amount of time and it may be a little too overwhelming when you just had it on

Well.. I’m not too sure how long it will stay on, the longest I’ve gone so far is 8 hrs(?). That’s the amount of time I usually sleep~LOL!~ It's more like a lingering scent. Not something too noticeable.

PROs.
  • Hydrating
  • Removes fine lines caused by dry skin
  • Leaves skin softer
  • Leaves skin smoother
  • The scent helps to relieve any tension I have at that moment.

CONs.
  • The scent might be too strong for some people ( sometimes for me as well)
  • Leaves a oily residue(?) after using
  • Price

Would I recommend this? I would say I would if you want to pamper yourself. It is definitely not a must have(due to it’s price). Not everyone will be willing to / are able to splurge on a product. So you’re looking for a product to pamper yourself and are ready to splurge, I would highly recommend this!~

This retails for SGD$55 at our local Lush Stores

Have you tried this?
What other Lush body products do you like?

Thanks for reading!!~
