Lush Ocean Salt Facial Scrub

Hi Everyone!~

I’m SO SORRY for not posting for almost the entire week!~
I have been in bed majority of the week all thanks to our old pal, Mr Fever. LOL!~

Thankfully it got better today, otherwise it’s going to be another long weekend!~

I’m feeling much better now, and I’m here with a new post for you!(:

Product Description,
Cleansing lime, coconut and sea salt scrub. Ocean Salt is like taking your face on a trip to the seaside for an invigorating splash in the water, then cleansing and refreshing it with lemon, grapefruit and lime juices. Fresh avocado moisturises and softens the skin, while violet leaf absolute calms and nurtures.
Use it on oily skin everyday and use it to refresh dry skin once a week.

There is 2 types of sea salts in it, coarse and fine.
It has a very citrus-y scent to it.
You can definitely tell that there’s lime in it. There’s also grapefruit.
I didn’t smell any grapefruit scent, but it’s written in the ingredients section.

As mentioned in the ingredients section, there is coconut oil and avocado oil in it, but I’ve not smell any of them while using this product.

I could only smell lime, that’s all. So for all coconut/avocado scent “haters” this probably wouldn’t turn you off.

Wet your skin and apply a generous amount of scrub over it.

In circular motion, gently spread and exfoliate your skin.
You want to do it very gently, especially for people with dry or sensitive skin.
Exfoliation from the coarse salt may be too harsh on your skin

Pros
  • Get rids of clogged pores & bumps on your skin
  • Removes dead skin
  • Deep cleansing
  • Leaves skin smooth and soft
  • Doesn’t dry out your skin
  • Refreshing fragrance that refreshes you when you’re tired

Cons
  • Quite abrasive to the skin
  • Scent might be too strong for certain people

My Thoughts,
From my experience

Other than using this on your face, I think this scrub works very well as a body scrub due to it’s abrasiveness.

I was recommended to use this scrub twice a week since I have combination skin, but because of it’s abrasiveness, I only use this scrub once a week.

I like to follow up this scrub with Lush’s Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, which I will post about next, to further moisturize my skin, but if you don’t, it is fine too.

It has avocado and coconut oil content in the scrub that aids with moisturizing your skin.

Would I recommend this? Yes I would. No matter what scrub you’re looking for, be it for body or for face. I think this is a great scrub to have around.

A little to take note, you might want to exfoliate your face VERY VERY gently while using this scrub as it can be too harsh on your face, leaving it red and a little sore.

This retails for SGD$45 (250g) at our local Lush store.

Have you tried this?

Thanks for reading!!~

xx, meiyi
