Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Hi Everyone!~

I think I mentioned in my previous post that this post would be on the benefits of Vaseline. But I need more time for that post, which can only possibly be done on Fridays or weekends. So I'll do it then.

Some time back, I did a post on the Makeup Forever HD Primer, Click here if you missed it, and I thought, there's this other primer that I have been loving recently too~

So today's post shall be on that~

If you noticed, mine is a little different from the packaging now, I think this is the travel size packaging(?). I didn't get mine from Sephora, so I don't know why is it different too, but I've seen some people with the same packaging as mine~ It might be the old packaging. Ohh wells..

This is the one that you'll see in Sephora stores.

There is a range of primers to choose from, I know the Photo Finish light is well raved in the beauty community on YouTube, but I got this instead. I'll try out the light version when this finishes.

Product Description,
Create a perfect canvas for foundation application with this silky, lightweight blend of vitamins A & E, grape seed extract and green tea. Worn alone or under foundation, our best-selling, oil-free primer helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores for flawless skin with a velvety-smooth finish. Now in a sleep tube for perfect dispensing down to the last drop! Winner of Best of Sephora Award for Best Primer, one of Marie Claire's "25 products that will change your life", & an InStyle Best Beauty Buy

Tips,
Apply a dime-size amount of Photo Finish Foundation Primer to clean or moisturized skin, using fingertips, for complexion perfection. Follow with your favorite foundation. To tame frizzies, try smoothing primer through wet or dry hair.

Both packaging works the same, it comes in a squeeze tube. So you just squeeze the product out.

Then product is pretty thick, so you might want to dispense a little out, apply it onto your face, if you feel that it is not enough, then add again.

After applying, you will notice that the fine lines on your skin is being reduced. It is not as obvious as before.

If you pay close attention, you can see that it is still here, but from a far, you looks like you have a smooth complexion!~

My Thoughts,
From my experience.

I got this product mainly because my Makeup Forever Primer was almost gone and I needed a new primer. Don't get me wrong, I really love that primer, just that I wanted to try out something new. I've seen videos on people raving about the Photo Finish Light primer. The original version is alright too, Just that it not as well raved as the Light version.

So I thought, I should try the original version one first, then try the light version after that to see which I like better.

So I can't compare between which I like better until I've tried the other one. So guys, bear with me a little more, until I finish this primer!~

What I like about this product, like mentioned above, I like that it reduces the appearance of the fine lines on my face. Not that I have wrinkles or anything. Sometimes my cheeks and under eye area gets a little dry, and fine lines starts to appear. And during this period of time, The foundation seem to really accentuate the fine lines even more. Which sometimes makes me feel that the foundation seem to be cake-ing up on my skin.

After using this primer, I noticed that those fine lines are gone after applying the foundation on, and my skin looks much more flawless.

After applying this primer, you'll feel that you face is very smooth, I like that it smooths out your skin, so when you apply your foundation on, it would be so much easier.

For people who are use to using primer on a daily basis would have forgotten the feeling of applying liquid foundation onto your skin. I kind of neglected this point too, until one day. It was very early in the morning, and I was still in the sleeping mode. I forgot to use my primer on my skin before the application. And I noticed it takes longer time for me to blend out the foundation and make it even on my skin.

In other words, I feel that with the primer, the foundation glides on the skin easier, without the primer, the foundation seems to be sticking to the skin, making it a little harder to even out.

Did anyone felt this way too??

As the day goes by, my T-zone will get a little shiny. I realised with this primer, the shine has significantly reduced. I wouldn't say my face is not shiny anymore, it still is, but I don't have to blot my face with a tissue like I used to.
It kind of make me feel less conscious about the shine on my T-zone.

I don't know why, I thought since it controls the sebum it will clog pores or it might have some bad reaction on my skin, but so far, after using it for almost half a year, I've not experience any of that!~ And I'm hoping I won't get to experience it!~

I remember mention in the MUFE Primer post that when I perspire, there will a like a cloudy droplets around my face, I'm glad that this doesn't do that!~
When I perspire, it's just clear sweat droplets, which made me feel less worried when I perspire.

A little plus for me, It is Fragrance- Free!~ So for people who have pet peeves with fragrances, this is a good product to consider!~

What I don't like about this product, I haven't experienced anything negative about this product yet. So far, I have been really loving this!~

Would I recommend this? Yes I would!~ I always encourage my friends around me to apply a primer before applying their makeup on. This is help the makeup last longer and makes your complexion much more flawless.

This primer is suitable for people with all dry skin too!~ But you might want to apply moisturizer and sunblock before applying this primer on.

There's once I forgot to apply my sunblock and moisturizer before applying my makeup, my cheek area, which are dry, felt tight the entire day! A little like the primer is sucking out all the moisture on your skin.

So if you have dry skin, remember to use a moisturizer/sunblock before applying this primer!~

This retails for SGD$65 at our local Sephora Stores.

Any thoughts on this primer??
Does anyone have a primer recommendation they would like to share?
Leave them in the comments section down below and I'd love to read them!~

Thanks for reading!!~
