Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Effect Lipstick

Hi Everyone!~

I really want to do the I heart fall tag. But the sad thing is.. We don't get 4 seasons in Singapore. It's summer all year around.. So it is redundant for me to do one~ So I'll just have to miss that.

Sometime back, my mum bought a couple of lipsticks for us when she went travelling, I haven't really use them yet because I find them too precious to be used. Not only because it was a little pricey, but also because it's from my mum. My mum hardly buys makeup for me, or us, because she's not a person that wears makeup. She only started wearing Sunscreen a few years back when she went for facial regularly. In fact, she is always asking me not to use so many skincare products and wear so much makeup on my face.

Product Description,
Sensational Shades, lasting colour, Intriguing effects. This multi-effect lipstick glides on smoothly to hydrate, softens & shine. Triple Emollient Technology & vitamins A, C & E instantly moisturize and soft lips for total comfort

And the colours I have with me are Cherry Pearl 21, Wildberry Cream 05 and Mango Cream 03.
Cherry Pearl 21 - Bright pearly blue toned pink.
Wildberry Cream 05 - Plum-y pink.
Mango Cream 03 - Orangey Coral

Like I've mentioned earlier, it's so precious to me, so only one was opened.
And it is the Wildberry Cream.

This is how it looks like

And a swatch for it.

My Thoughts,
From my experience.

I've only tried the wildberry cream lipstick so far, so I only can share my thoughts on that.
The wildberry cream is a matte plumy pink.
Usually matte lipsticks are really hard to apply onto lips, especially dried ones.
But this doesn't not have this problem!

What I like about this product, I like the intensity and pigmentation of the colour when it is on my lips.
Usually I have to go over a few times to get a very pigmented lip colour. But this lipstick does the job within 2 applications. Saves a little time and product!~

The staying power for this lipstick is great!~ I can have a meal and some drinks but the colour stays on really well!
Not only that. If you don't want to touch it up, it actually leaves a stain on your lips until the end of the day!
So you don't have to worry that your lips will look pale throughout the day

Usually matte lipsticks stays on your lips much better than others, but it dries your lips very badly.
But this lipstick did not at all!~ Instead it keeps my lips moisturized all day long.
I didn't feel my lips drying, let alone cracked, at the end of the day.

The moisturizing properties in the lipstick not only keeps your lips moisturized but also make the application so much easier.
For people who have applied matte lipstick, you'll know how much of a hassle it is to have them on!
But this lipstick glides onto my lips, even when they are pretty dry.

What I don't like about this product, Nothing. I don't really have anything to complain about this lipstick.
Usually I would complain about the price. But after experiencing how well it works on my lips, I find that the price of it is pretty reasonable.

Would I recommend this? Yes I totally would!~ I find that rather than buying tons of cheaper lipsticks that you don't like, might as well pay a little more for 1 expensive lipstick that you'll enjoy using.

I'm not sure how much this retails for. I want to say it is above SGD$30. ( I've tried to check it out today, but I couldn't find the sales assistant for the Elizatbeth Arden counter I was at today)

But you can get them at selected OG, Metro, Robinsons counters and Takashimaya

Have you tried any lipsticks from this line?
Are there any Lipsticks recommendations??
Share them in the comments section down below and I'd love to read them!~

Thanks for reading!!~

xx, meiyi

  1. Elizabeth arden products are more expensive than drugstore brands like loreal maybelline but alot less pricey compared to brands like mac nars tom ford. Their lipstick generally cost $15. I got the exact same one for $10 at the airport.
