Hi everyone,
I've noticed I haven't mention any type of facial moisturizers on this blog.
I have no idea why I didn't mention about it.
So let's get into it!~
This 2 products are from Hada Labo.
And they are the whitening series.
Because there are 2 products and I have different opinions on both of them, I shall break this post into 2.
For today's post, we'll be talking about the Lotion and tomorrow the Milk.
Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion.
Whenever I look for skincare product for my face, I tend to try out products that states whitening.
Not that they really whitens your skin, but they do actually brighten your complexion making you seem like you have gone to a lighter shade.
Product Description,3 benefits of Shirojyun WhiteningArbutin is an extract from natural plant bearberry, with natural whitening properties.
- Deep Moisturizing
- Intensive Repair
- Double Whitening
- Contains Arbutin to help fight dark spots. Smoothes and clarifies to optimize skin's radiance and translucency
- Vitamin C helps reduce the apearance of dark spots to give clearer, fairer skin
- Contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate intensely, keeping skin soft & supple
- It is free of fragrance, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant. Skin pH balanced. Low irritation
So this is how the cap looks like.
You just need to pour the product out onto your palm.
Although it states lotion, but it is actually in a water consistency.
So you might want to be a little careful with this to avoid spillage.
Then rub palms together and pat it onto your face.
My Thoughts,
From my experience
I have been using this product day and night for almost 1/2year now and I have really been enjoying this product.
What I like about this product, After using it for 2 weeks, I find that my skin isn't as dry as it use to be and my complexion brightens.
Before using this product, I was able to see very fine lines caused by the dryness around my cheeks, and I feel really insecure about it.
But after using this product, I notice that those fine lines are gone and I actually feel that my cheeks are moisturize.
My cheeks felt noticeably smoother and softer, which it does what it states.
I like how this product also lightens dark spots.
I use to have pretty bad breakouts and I had quite an obvious discoloration on my skin.
After using this product for a period of time, together with exfoliating, I realise that my skin tone is more even out. I can hardly notice the discoloration on my skin, that I use to have, now.
I also like that this product is fragrance free. I usually get sick of products with scent (especially on my face) and stopped using them after.
What I don't like about this product, If I really had to pick one, I would say the way of applying it.
I am a very lazy person. To me it is like a chore to keep patting the product into my skin.
I know it aids with the absorption of the product, but I just can't help but to feel too lazy to do it.
Although up till now, I'm still diligently pat the product into my skin!~LOL
Would I recommend this? Yes I would, if you're not allergic to any of the ingredients. I've seen reviews from people that they had an allergy reaction with this product because of the Hyaluronic Acid. So unless you're allergic to any of the ingredients, I would say this is a product worthy to be invested in!~
This retails for SGD$22.90 at our local Watsons, Guardian and SASA stores.
I thought it is quite a reasonable price for a mositurizer that fights dark spot!~
Have you tried this product?

And stay tune for part 2 which will be up next(tomorrow!~)
