Hi everyone!~
Yeap, I'm down to the 3rd post of the day!~
Don't worry, there's still a post for Monday, which is technically today, but I can't do so many post at one shot, unless you don't mind the posts to be extremely boring!~
And I don't have the energy to also!~
I have to wake up in about 5hours time. So if I did the 4th post, I think I'll be down to about 3 hours of sleep left? that's insane!~I can't go without 8 hours of sleep!~ I'll become a zombie the entire day if I didn't get enough rest!~
PS. I don't know how I'm gonna wake up tmr!~ I just hope I don't oversleep!~
Alright!~ into the last post of the day!~
I know I have been doing makeup products very often recently, I don't know if you guys like it, so leave me a comment below sharing your thoughts!~
I know I know, this product is out like last year or something??!! some time ago already, but Singapore is really slow with the release of these lip butters!~
It only came out I think in May or so. and they didn't really have much colour ranges too!~
Product Description,
Buttery Balm + Shiny Color
Buttery balm with beautiful shiny color to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips
94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated.
Hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula boost lip moisture by 156%
Pampering gel formula provides super charged hydration and glides on lips buttery smooth
So out of the 8(?) they have in stores, I picked out 3 that I will definitely wear.
PS. they are not really that cheap here in Singapore!~
They are Peach Parfait, Macaroon and Cherry tart
and here are the swatches.
For an everyday wear, just a tint of colour on my lips, I like having the peach parfait with me.
It is very sheer, but it is enough to make my appearance brighter, not as pale and dull looking.
For the other 2 colours, I like wearing it when I go on a shopping trip with my friends.
PS. for those who didn't know, all the shades have shimmers to them. There isn't a matte shade in this collection.
From what I saw in stores and online!~ correct me if I'm wrong
My Thought,
From my experience,
Let's just focus more on the function and performance for these lip butters for the time being.
I really like them!~
when I'm going to have them on, I would skip on my lip balm, I feel that this is enough to keep my lips moisturize until I need to touch them up!~
What I like about this product, It is like a lip balm, but with a thicker consistency.
I feel that this actually moisturize my lips better than a regular lip balm.
I wouldn't say this is a tinted lip balm, I would say this is a mixture of a lipstick and a lip balm.
Because the colour pay off of these lip butters are really pretty good! As you can see from the swatch itself, if I didn't mention that it was the lip butters, they could pass off well as a sheer lipstick with lip gloss or maybe a pigmented lip gloss.
I really like how the colour turn out on my lips. Sometime when I look at the lip product and swatch it, it looks very nice, but when I have it on my lips, it looks unnatural. But for these, they look very natural on my lips, not too overpowering. Something I would wear often.
What I don't like about this product, other than the price, it has to be the staying power.
If you are going to eat or you're going out for a dinner function, I would bring this along, or not use this lip butters. These lip butters, although are pigmented but they don't stain your lips or stay on very well, it actually comes off as easily as a lip balm would.
I just rinse my hands under running water and give it a few gentle wipes, they product totally came off without leaving any stains at all!
The other thing I can't leave out has to be the price.
I feel that these lip butters are very over priced in Singapore!~
Out of curiosity, I twisted the product from my new packaging to see how much product was there.
And to my surprise, it was lesser than my regular lip sticks!~
and some of my lips stick are around the same price as these lip butters.
I did feel like it is a little over priced to think about it's staying power and amount that is in the tube.
But if I thought about the benefits it does to my lips, I felt that it is a little more reasonable.
Ohhh!!~ one more thing before I forget, you have to take very good care of these lip butters. Because they are not lipstick, they are actually softer and can melt easily, like how a butter would.
This is how a brand new lip butter would look like
This is what happens when you don't pay a little more attention on them.
I don't know what happened, but after using it for a while, all of them became like that.
My cherry tart one is a little weirder..
I had problem trying to retract the product down~~
Would I recommend this? It depends where you are. If you're in Singapore, I probably wouldn't, I feel that it is a little too pricey for a lip butter from a drugstore brand, you can be better off with a lipstick instead.
If you're in somewhere else where it is much cheaper, I would definitely go for it!~ I feel that it does really works well! If it was a little cheaper in Singapore, maybe cheaper by SGD$4, I would definitely recommend this to everyone!~
This retails for SGD$16.90 at our local Watsons and Guardian Stores.
I believe many of you have already tried them since they are out for quite some time!!~
Share what you think about these products with me in the comments section down below!~ I'll love to read them!!~
Alright!~ Time to go to bed now!~ my brains are officially shutting down!!~
Thanks for reading!~
xx, meiyi
