Lucido-L Designing Aqua Hair Curl Lotion

Hi everyone,

I don't really know what happened yesterday, but I decided to take my curling iron out and curl my hair just for the fun of it.

Then I was looking for a heat protectant and I picked out one from my cupboard of "cold storage" to give it a second chance!~

I'm really glad I did it, because I've now found a new love!~

This product claims to

- Leaves a smooth and non-sticky finish
- Keeps created style for many hours even on a humid day

Product Description,
Design without hard set, to create light and airy curls ( for use before curling)

How to use:
Spray at a distance of 5-10cm, just so to moisten hair, then blend into hair before styling using straighteners or heated curlers.

What I did was -Section my hair into a few sections, because I have really thick hair,-spray the product liberally.-Then comb my hair to evenly distribute the product.-And curl it.

It comes in a spray pump where you press the top of the pump to dispense the product.

Like this.

As you can see, the mist from the spray is very fine and "fans out" well, so you won't experience blotchy patches of wet hair!~

My Thoughts,
From my experience

I got this product some time ago, maybe at least a year(?), because I wanted to try out a spray that will hold my curls.

I thought, if there was a spray that can product your hair from being damage and hold the curls for a good 8 hours, it would be great!~

So when I saw this at Watsons, I decided to get it and try.

They didn't mention that this product would protect your hair, but after using it for some time, I realize my hair isn't as dry as it was when I was not using any form of spray before that.
So I guess, to some extent, it does help a bit with protecting your hair from heat damage.

I remember not liking it after using it after awhile because it doesn't give me the hold I want.
After 2-3 hours, the curls are not as defined as I wanted it to be, so I slowly stopped using it and move on to using clay, wax and hair spray instead.

So yesterday, out of the blue, I took this out and try it again!~
I have a total different opinion on it now, and this product is going to leave the "cold storage" section!~

What I like about this product, I really like that it doesn't dry my hair out. They didn't state that it is for heat protecting, but using it for quite a while, a year back, I didn't see my hair being damaged by the heat. So I believe this product would serve well as a heat protectant.

I like how after a while, ~3hours later, the curls loosen up a little and it looks really natural.
Then after that, it stays on like this for the entire day.
I didn't like the look before, but now I think it looks really nice.

This product substitutes a hair spray. After curling it with a hot iron, instead of being moist and filmsy, it actually feels like you have a little hair spray on it. The curls feel firm, a little hard, like flexible-hold hair spray.

Although it feels a little hard, like you have a little hair spray on, you can still run your fingers through your hair and you will notice the curls loosening up a little.
And one of my pet peeves about using hair spray is, when you try to comb through or do something to your hair, there's this white flaky bits all over, which makes it look like dandruff. I'm really happy that this doesn't do that.

After the curls have cooled down and loosen up, after 2-3hours, it will stay in place for the rest of your day.
I've tried leaving the hair on to see how long it would stay.
I would say more than 8hours.
I went to take a bathe after that and wash the curls away.

What I dislike about this product, the scent. It is not something unbearable or anything. It is actually quite a nice scent to have around. It is refreshing, sweet, gives you a clean feeling.
But I feel that it is a little too strong for my liking and I got sick of the scent at the end of the day.
Yes this scent will stay on you the entire day, but it will fade off a little.
I hope that it would be a little lighter, so I wouldn't notice it.

Would I recommend it? Yes I would, but if you are looking for something that will lock very defined curls, then this is not the product that you're looking for.
I've tried, it doesn't not lock tight curls, it is more of a natural flow-y curl look.

A snap from my IPhone about 30mins after curling.
At the end of the day, the curls are not as tight, but it is more or less almost the same as the look above!~

I can't really remember how much this is selling because I got this a long time ago.
But I believe you can get it at Watsons or Guardian under SGD$20(?). I want to say it is under SGD$15, but I'm not sure about that.

What other heat protectant you have tried and would recommend?
Have you tried this product? Do you like it? Do you not?
Leave them in the comments section down below and I'd love to read them!!~

Thanks for reading!!~

xx, meiyi
