ST. Ives In-Shower Exfoliating Body Polish Mineral Therapy

I'm very little late today! but nonetheless I'm here with another post !(:

I recently mentioned about the Clean&Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub, and I thought, "Ohh! There is this body scrub that I really like for dry patchy skin!"

I was planning on doing this yesterday, but the sky was so gloomy and the pictures didn't turn out nice indoors. So taking the advantage of the sun this morning, I'm here with the post!

And it is the ST. Ives In-Shower Exfoliating Body Polish Mineral Therapy!
And here for more reviews

Here's the product description.

In case you can't see it clearly,
This is what's written on it.
"Formula with natural sugar crystal and a Mineral Blend gently exfoliates & cleanses to leave your skin bright and smooth without over-drying for radiant irresistibly soft skin. Reseal cap to avoid excess water in jar."

I got this product when I was purchasing my shampoo at Guardian. I think it was a promotion if you get a shampoo you get this scrub for free. And I got 2, since I got the shampoo and conditioner.

Whenever I receive or get something without any recommendation or for free, and have never heard any review about it, I wouldn't have high expectations for it.

This scrub was left in my shelf for some time until I ran out of my Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub which I absolutely love!(but not the price)
So I thought maybe I should give the ST. Ives ones a try.
IT IS AMAZING!~~

This is how the product looks in the container.
Unlike many other scrubs I used, it is not soft and creamy in the container. It is actually hard and dry, which reminds me of frozen butter.
Because once you manage to get the product out with a little strength, the product starts melting with your body temperature, like how butter would.
And Yes, this is a new tub that I have in my cabinet.
PS. you'll know why later.

My Thoughts,
From my experience,

Pros,
1) It doesn't only exfoliates my skin but still moisturize it because there is Olive oil in it. You can feel it when the scrub starts to melt.

2) Even though there is olive oil in the scrub, it wouldn't leave my skin oily after rinsing.

3) After rinsing it off, I felt my skin feeling soft, smooth, a little more moisturized and CLEAN!

Cons,
1) The scent in the product is really weird. I don't really like it.

I'm not really a fan of coconut scents, and there is this scent in it. But none was listed in the ingredient section. HMMM..Maybe I'm wrong about the coconut part, but that is the closes I can think of.

Since I'm at the pros and cons, I thought I should mention this.
So the reason why I didn't use the old tub to shoot the photos above is...

Because it is DIRTY
It looks alright in person, but on camera, it looks a bit cloudy. So I didn't want to use that to shoot the photos.

Other that than, Something everyone should take note while using this,

KEEP THIS PRODUCT AWAY FROM WATER!
you should store in somewhere high where it is really dry.
This is what happened to mine

Other than the container being dirty, I have water accumulated in the container!
But luckily it won't go into the product otherwise I would have wasted everything!

Unlike the first few photos, this is how the product looks like after many uses.
Although it looks like it is creamy and soft,
It still needs a little strength to get the scrub out for use.

This is how the scrub looks like when you get it out. It is indeed very grainy. Feels like sand

When you apply on your hands it would start melting and you can feel a little oily. Not a bad kind. you like lotion?

Then start massaging,

You can see that the scrub becomes wet.
I usually massage for about 2-3mins before rinsing everything off.

PS. The smell will stay on you for quite a while.

I'll using this product 1-2 times a week because it is really quite a harsh scrub as compared to some others I've tried.

I especially like using this scrub when I have very dry and patchy skin. This helps to remove all the dry and dead skin, so when I moisturize, my skin can absorb much better.

Did I mention it leaves my nice very soft and smooth after that?HEHHEH!

Actually to a some extend, I feel very relax after using this scrub especially after a long day out!(:

I'm not too sure how much this scrub cost or where it will be sold.

But I got mine from Guardian!
So if you're interested, you can drop by Guardian to see if they have it, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't cost more than SGD$15!(:

So until the next post,

xx, meiyi
